This upcoming virtual spring series will provide exclusive training sessions on effectively engaging minority communities in HIV care, treatment, and prevention. In partnership with Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCUs), this series will cover a broad range of topics related to the Minority AIDS Initiative's goal of improving access to HIV care and health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations who are disproportionately affected by HIV.

Learning Objectives 

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

• Discuss challenges in accessing and maintaining engagement in HIV care for persons with chronic mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Identify assessment procedures and approaches for this population and implications for treatment planning.
• Identify key behavioral and/or biomedical prevention and treatment interventions for this population.

Certificates of Attendance and continuing education certificates will be sent out via email 4-6 weeks after the event has completed.

Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states.  It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).
