Course Description:
Non-Medical Case Management for Status Neutral Navigators provides Ryan White-funded Status Neutral Navigators hands-on instruction to help them learn the policies, processes, and practice of Ryan White non-medical case management in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This program teaches navigators all steps of intake, non-medical case management assessment, service planning, evaluation, peer review, and technical assistance.
Please note this class is designed for Status Neutral Service Navigators and will not meet the training requirements of Ryan White Part B Non-Medical Case Managers. Ryan White Case Managers (Medical and Non-Medical) should enroll in Foundations of Case Management and Ryan White Part B Case Management Standards classes.
Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Relate a general definition of HIV/AIDS Medical & Non-Medical CM
- Describe the shift from general case management to a medical/clinical case management model.
- Demonstrate Screening, Intake, and Assessment procedures.
- Develop an Individual Service Plan.
- Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate indications for reassessment and discharge.
- Identify resources for QA Technical assistance.
