Description

This Clinical Preceptorship aims to improve patient outcomes by increasing providers’ knowledge and understanding of HIV disease and HIV prevention. We also aim to increase clinicians’ ability and confidence in the provision of primary care to Persons with HIV as well as preventing HIV by providing a case-driven learning experience under the direction and guidance of Infectious Disease Specialists.

Agenda:

Prior to in person participation date: Review Fundamentals of HIV via virtual presentation (1 hour)

9AM-1PM: Shadow with ID Provider in clinic, focusing on HIV Prevention and PrEP.

Must be a provider or nurse in WV to participate. Dentists, MD, DO, NP, PA, RN, LPN, etc.

Intended Audience

Healthcare professionals in WV with an interest in HIV care and prevention.
