Pregnant Mothers and Substance Use Disorder
By the end of this session, the learner will be able to:
- Identify barriers to treatment for pregnant women with or without HIV who use drugs
- Discuss health risks of substance use to both the mother and child
- Describe recommended substance use treatment protocols for pregnant women and child
- Discuss legal consequences applied to those who use drugs during pregnancy
