Course Description: Foundations of Case Management is a course designed for all new Medical and Non-Medical Case Managers in Virginia.  Completion of this course satisfies the VDH Ryan White Case Management Standards of Services requirements for all first year case managers for training in "Basic Case Management Concepts, Principles, and/or practice;  client-centered model of case management."  (Standards, page 25)

• Mental Health Screening for Improved Health Outcomes
• Common Mental Health Disorders
• An Introduction to Substance Use Disorders
• Understanding Lab Values
• HIV and Opportunistic Infections
• Antiretroviral Therapy
• Linkage to Care and Retention in Care
• Boundaries and Ethics
