DESCRIPTION: This virtual series was created in collaboration with the MidAtlantic AETC Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Workgroup. This comprehensive webinar series aims to provide healthcare professionals with the latest strategies and tools to end the HIV epidemic. Each training session will focus on one of the four key strategies that make up the Ending the HIV Epidemic U.S. Initiative, which include: diagnosing all individuals with HIV as early as possible, treating HIV rapidly and effectively to achieve sustained viral suppression, preventing new HIV transmissions using proven interventions like PrEP, and responding quickly to potential HIV outbreaks to get needed prevention and treatment services to those who need them.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify major biomedical strategies to reduce transmission of HIV.
- Define treatment as prevention (TasP) and its role in Ending the HIV Epidemic.
- Describe indications and approaches to transition from nonoccupational PEP to HIV preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in persons at risk for HIV.
- Describe current indications for the use of occupational HIV PEP, including strategies for risk assessment following occupational exposure.
