Description

Brief 30 minute presentation on stigma and the ways it impacts PLWHIV to include: 
Explore the definition of stigma and its mechanisms
•Review a brief history of HIV and stigma
•Identify the effects stigma has on people with HIV and our community at large
•Explain implicit bias and how it pertains to stigma
•Assess our own implicit bias/stigma by completing an in-class activity
•Discuss how we can end HIV stigma in our clinic
