This will be an interactive education exploring how culture and trauma intersect and affect people living with HIV. We will recognize how cultural humility is a valuable tool to improve health outcomes in people living with HIV and apply the principles of cultural humility to case-based scenarios.
Objectives:
–Describe what is meant by viewing cultural humility through a “trauma-informed lens”
–Delineate aspects of cultural humility that impact patient care for those with and at risk for HIV.
–Apply principles of cultural humility in case-based scenarios.
