The BPHC Prevention Community of Practice (CoP) provides an opportunity for Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FHQCs) in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC, to learn from each other regarding increasing HIV testing, diagnosis, and prevention, including the provision of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) and HIV/AIDS Bureau support this initiative to partner with Ending the HIV Epidemic-funded FQHCs in the MAAETC region.
This program will review protocols for "DoxyPEP": using doxycycline as a post-exposure preventative treatment for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea, as well as the importance of integrating HIV and STI prevention services.
