Thanks to advancements in treatment, for people living with HIV, the “golden years” can be filled with hope and exciting possibilities. Longer healthy lives are possible with proper social preparation and management of co-existing chronic conditions. This program will bring in considerations that were not imaginable before the advancement of ART with a focus on overall health, financial security, building stronger support networks, and active aging. We will learn about how ART can affect other chronic conditions, the financial implications of living longer with a chronic condition, how to identify elder care organizations who are experienced with managing HIV, and finally how to make a plan for living longer.
