Technical assistance provided to Laura Jones, Executive Director, Milan Puskar Health Right. Needs of organization assessed and discussed including need for additional staff to be trained on Point-of-Care HIV Testing. Referred to State Prevention Director Dr. Kenya Burton to propose partnership with BPH to begin receiving rapid HIV test kits and controls at no charge. Discussed documentation requirements. Also discussed transition plan for MPHR to apply for their own HIV Laboratory Approval (Lab testing is currently performed under WVUPHC HIV Laboratory Approval and CLIA certificate). Gave assurance that MAAETC would still provide any training and/or technical assistance needed.
