Perinatally transmitted infectious diseases
By the end of the session, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss how pathogens are vertically transmitted including likelihood of transmission based upon evidence
- Identify the role of opt out perinatal HIV and STI testing during pregnancy.
- Explore treatments and vaccines available for preventing vertical transmission of infections.
