This virtual spring series will provide exclusive training sessions on effectively engaging minority communities in HIV care, treatment, and prevention. In partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), this series will cover a broad range of topics related to the Minority AIDS Initiative's goal of improving access to HIV care and health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations who are disproportionately affected by HIV.

Each training session will focus on one of the four key strategies that make up the Ending the HIV Epidemic U.S. Initiative, which include diagnosing all individuals with HIV as early as possible, treating HIV rapidly and effectively to achieve sustained viral suppression, preventing new HIV transmissions using proven interventions such as PrEP, and responding quickly to potential HIV outbreaks to get needed prevention and treatment services to those who need them.

  • Nursing Continuing Education: The MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 
  • EMS ConED: The MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center is approved as a provider of emergency medical services continuing educational development. In order to receive EMS credits, you must provide your PA certification number. EMS ConED is offered for EMS and First Responders within Pennsylvania.  If you are outside of Pennsylvania, we are able to provide a certificate of attendance if the evaluation is completed in the required timeframe.
  • Certificate of Attendance: With completion of the required evaluations, participants can receive a certificate of attendance from the MAAETC.

In order to receive a certificate of attendance or continuing education, all required evaluations must be completed in a timely manner.

Continuing Education credits issued for participation in CE activity may not apply toward license renewal in all states.  It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of their state licensing board(s).

Certificates will be emailed out 3-6 weeks after the evaluation period has closed.
