Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. List the long-acting injectable (LAI) antiretrovirals (ARVs) available for use in persons with HIV.
2. Describe the mechanisms of action and novel pharmacokinetic characteristics of LAI ARVs.
3. Recognize the Department of Health and Human Service recommendations for LAI ARV use in people with HIV.
4. Devise a plan for implementing LAI ARVs in a person with HIV.
