VIDEO: Trainings for Case Managers in Pennsylvania: Co-occurring Behavioral Health Issues (02/06/23)
Description
This all-virtual series will utilize case studies to expand upon specific content foundational for case managers in Pennsylvania.
Goal:
This series will provide initial and ongoing training for case managers as they are on-boarded within specific agencies and programs. The goal of this training plan is to provide all Ryan White Part B Case Managers (CM) statewide with fundamental and foundational case management knowledge and skills to provide quality services for their clients.

Learning Objectives for this session:
- Discuss Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Disorders as related to HIV risk, prevention and treatment
- Utilize case studies to identify Co-occurring behavioral health issues and best approaches to enhance client care
- Discuss screening tools such as the SBIRT model, mini mental status exam, and CAGE that can be used to assess clients.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the post-training evaluation.
