2.Outline the epidemiology of perinatal HIV infection in the USA and Washington, DC.
3.Identify the HIV infection in mothers, neonates and infants.
4.Recognize the principles of perinatal antiretroviral therapy to the prevention of mother-to-child transmission.
5.Summarize the current recommendations for the approach to the infant feeding choices among mothers with HIV.
