SPNS - MAAETC and PACT Collaboration on Aging Project
Special Project of National Significance

UPMC's PACT clinic serves 1500+ people with HIV and now 60% of them are age 50+. The current HRSA/SPNS grant that was awarded to PACT in 2022 is to improve care for this aging population. The grant focuses on the 6M's (mind, mobility, medications, multi-complexity, matters most + modifiable).

There are quarterly HIV conferences in partnership with the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center Local Performance site at the University of Pittsburgh.

The meetings are virtual, from 12-1pm, and include about 30 HIV providers (who generally serve as PCPs for our patients), supporting staff,  and ID fellows from both UPMC, AHN, and the wider community. If possible, the talks are also recorded and made available as a webinar through the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center's OnDemand trainings page.
